I'm a general contractor and had my plumber, Sweet Water Plumbing purchase and install the unit at my home. The installation replaced a 50 gallon tank type water heater in the same location so the installation was pretty straight forward. I had removed the old water heater before Sweet Water arrived so they were able to get right on the installation which went very smoothly. The eternal provides plenty of hot water and I hope to see a reduction in my propane usage. My only slightly negative comment would be the popping off when the unit fires up, generally three or four times and then it rums very quietly.

I heard about your product through a friend. I was out of the country when my old water heater broke down. I researched your product and decided that the extra costs would be worth it. I hope I am right. The contractor gave me a bid then went over the bid, due to wiring issues.I have yet to settle. I am now home from Afghanistan, and have used your product and have had plenty of hot-water, with several showers running at the same time. I hope it lasts years and years. Hot showers were not very frequent in Afghanistan.

So far ...so good. The condensate drain fitting and the drain valve assembly could both be a little better engineered so that the valve assembly and the PVC condensate drain fittings cound be tightened up snuggly. To have to back them up 3/4 of a turn on the drain valve assembly and 1/3 of a turn on the condensate fitting is not a good design. Other than this ,I think its a good unit. It would also be nice if the front panel were hinged instead of having to figure out what to do with it besides unplug it or hang it up somehow while working on it.

Great experience - the installation went smooth from start to finish. Cold water was available for most time except maybe for 10 min when the old tank was disconnected. The new unit works perfectly - it now takes only 30-45 sec for hot water to arrive at my shower, down from previously 1.5 min. And most of the time the burner does not even have to turn on since often one just needs a bit hot water here and there. Raymond from On Demand Water Heaters was very friendly and professional and left the place very clean. He really knows his job, unlike several other folks who had provided free estimates for a new water heater.

Very pleased with my new GU195S. I had been considering a tankless for a while now, and when my tank water heater needed sudden repairs, my plumber had nothing but great things to say about the Eternal. Installation was super fast (less than one day) and the unit looks great in my utility room. Could not be pleased more with the performance. We’ve had it for about a week, and the water is hot and gets to temp very quickly. When I am in my finished basement, I can hear the unit make a little noise, which is from the air intake, but it’s very minor. Great product so far! i am a plumber who installed this unit in my own house.i had a conventional oil fired tankless boiler that ran all summer to maintain a min. temp , just in case i needed hot water. the pressure from the boiler was terrable, as well as the always changing temperature. after installing the eternal.... OMG, the presure is amazing being full 3/4 in and out, and i love the constant hot water at the same temp. this baby is my pride and joy, i would recomend it to anyone

Very bulky product with installation of pipes.... not NEARLY as clean of setup and install as Rinnai. Eternal inlet, outlet, drains are Everywhere, whereas Rinnai are All located at the bottom/underneath, making for a much cleaner looking install. Overall, our outside LP unit is working better than expected, the water gets to temperature MUCH quicker than the Rinnai did...and we even timed it vs. a house with a 50 Gal heater in the attic, we get hot water FASTER!... AND HOTTER ! hopefully the maintenance is Minimal, as I was told by our plumber there is NO MAINTENANCE that I should have to do...and that the Eternal should flush itself out. This is the same lack of warning I had with the Rinnai, and ended up replacing after FIVE YEARS, due to LACK OF MAINTENANCE... Overall sales was Simple - salesman said if he was doing a new heater install in his house, he'd get this one. the Install crew were top notch and did great working with existing plumbing. Took 4.5 hours from UNinstalling old water heater to finishing up and testing new Eternal..

Happy with the water heater. The plumber is great. He had to change out the gas valve due because the unit would not fire with the new style negative pressure valve. After a site visit from the Rep from Eternal and the plumber a new (old style) gas valve was sent and the plumber installed it. Unit is working fine. Happy with the product extremely happy with the Plumber. He hung in there for us.

OK, but at low flow rates (about 1/2 gpm) there is not enough mixing in the tank for the thermistor to sense the need for more heat before the tank is exhausted. Then the hot water cycles between hot and cold with a period of about 2 or 3 minutes. At high flow rates, it keeps up just fine.

When first installed with circulatin pump, the water still took forever to reach the kitchen with the circ. was plugged into the unit. When attached separately (plugged in) it worked better.
